Q. What does Fast Connect do?
A. Fast connect arrange for connection and opening of electricity, gas and telephone accounts on your behalf when you are moving to a new address.
Q. Does it cost me anything?
A. No, the Application Lodgement Service provided by Fast Connect is free. Normal charges from the electricity, gas and telephone companies in regard to establishing and supplying services are the sole responsibility of the applicant(s). In some cases the power and/or telephone companies may pay Fast Connect and/or the Agent a fee for arranging and lodging connections.
Q. What do I have to do?
A. Complete the attached Authority Form and return it to your Real Estate/Settlement Agent.
Q. Do I need to contact Fast Connect?
A. No, your Real Estate/Settlement Agent forwards your Authority Form. You will be contacted to confirm your connections and obtain any other information needed to open your accounts. You can however contact Fast Connect on the number below.
Q. Do I need to contact the power or phone companies?
A. No, your applications are speedily lodged electronically on your behalf. It is important you do not lodge a duplicate application via other means. If you have any queries call the Freecall number
shown on your application form.
Q. Are my details kept confidential?
A. Yes, your details are provided to the energy and phone companies solely for the purpose of opening your accounts. Your details are not provided for any other use.
Q. Are there other energy and phone companies I can use?
A. There may be other providers you can access. Fast Connect can only arrange connections with the providers listed on the Authority Form.
Q. What if my move in or settlement date changes?
A. Advise Fast Connect on the number shown on application form.
